Bulgaria: Itinerary For a 5-Day Road Trip

Bulgaria, along with Romania, is one of the most surprising countries I’ve ever visited. I got the opportunity to travel to both countries on a road trip during last Easter break. The trip, that had a length of 10 days, allowed me to discover these countries in a way that I could have never imagined. The cuisine, the history and the society of Bulgaria, where I spent 5 of my 10 days, impressed me a lot. I liked everything about it and that’s why I can’t do anything else but recommend you to go.

Plus, despite the Balkans region is more and more explored every day, Bulgaria is still quite unknown for most of the travelers. My reasons to convince you to go? It is a safe destination, affordable and full of interesting places.

10 Gift Ideas for Insatiable Travelers

We have just started December and this only means one thing: Christmas is around the corner and with it, the gift-giving will arrive too. The more long-sighted might have them all figured out but what about you? Whether you still have none of them figured out, you are only missing the one for that super traveler friend or you are looking for ideas on what to ask Dear Santa, this post is for you:

GIFT Nº1: Collapsible Cup from Stojo

Do you know any coffee and travel lover? Probably, this is one of the best Christmas gifts you can get for them (or for you 😉 ). This collapsible cup, apart from convenient (once collapsed only measures 5cm), it’s eco-friendly too. It is made of recyclable materials and it’s lead-free. Also, you can use it for both, hot and cold drinks and is not limited to coffee. You can also use it to bring tea and water with you.

Mushing in Lapland: Everything You Need To Know

Earlier this year, during my trip to Lapland, I got the opportunity to experience mushing in the Arctic. It was, by far, one of the most magical experiences of my life. A moment of pure connection with nature surrounded by breathtaking scenery: the Arctic forest.

Mushing, that used to play an important role in the life of Arctic inhabitants, has been slowly substituted by snow motorbikes. For the locals, mushing has become more of a sport than a way to move. For the tourists (like me), it has turned into an unmissable activity to discover this freezing region.

Helsinki (Finland): An 18-Hour Layover Diary

Thursday. 1st of February 2018. 12:30 PM. Sants station. Barcelona.
Destination: Helsinki.

Although I don’t really know if I should consider it as such, the first day of my trip to Finland started relatively late. We decided to meet at Sants station by midday and head from there to the airport of Barcelona. Our flight with Norwegian was taking off at 14:40 PM from Terminal 2 and our first stop was Helsinki.

Rome (Italy): TOP 5 Alternative Spots

Until nowadays, I have been able to visit the city of Rome on three occasions. I have never got tired of it. I would visit it again and again… This city has always something new to discover and that is its magic. Because of this on today’s post, I want to show you 5 spots that I love and are (yet) not that touristy! Let’s get into it!

1) National Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II

Since I have a weird passion for white-marble buildings and monuments, it was a bit inevitable that I loved this monument. And now you would think… what does this building have of an unknown if it’s one of the most visited monuments in Rome? Well, my answer is THE 360º PANORAMIC ROOFTOP IT HIDES AT THE TOP!

Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II | Italy (2016)

The price to get to the rooftop is 7€ for the adults and 3,50€ for people under 18 years. It is a quite accessible price for everyone,  Especially if you consider the ticket price of the rest of the tourist attractions.

MY RECOMMENDATION WHEN VISITING: If you travel to Rome during winter time, when I visited this rooftop for the 1st time, take advantage of the rooftop opening hours and contemplate the sunset while enjoying one of the best views of the city.

Lapland (Finland): Itinerary For A 4-Day Roadtrip

Lapland is at the TOP of my favorite destinations in the world since I visited it at the beginning of the year. If you visit it, you will for sure experience one of the biggest contrasts you can possibly get in Europe. Not because of the cold but mostly because of its’ breathtaking landscapes. It is, really honestly speaking, a unique experience.

It’s true that Lapland is mostly visited during Chrismas holidays. Many travelers arrive in Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland, to visit Santa Claus in his official residence. Despite this fact, I highly recommend you to visit it outside the Christmas holidays period. You can go in January or February and with 4 or 5 days you will have enough. The sun will shine and you will be able to do the same activities but prices will be lower. Plus, January and February are usually the best months to spot the Northern Lights.

4 Unusual Weekend Breaks For Fall 2018

Fall is the perfect time for weekend breaks. Whhhhhy? Because the weather in fall is not that hot that you can’t breathe either too cold that you can’t stay outside. It’s the best moment for pulling out your most romantic outfits and taking pictures in brownish beautiful landscapes. What I also love about fall is visiting cute cafeterias between my visits so going for a hot drink during a trip is one of my favorite things to do. To me, there is nothing better than all of this to enjoy weekend breaks and that’s why fall is my favorite time to take them!

Probably when you read weekend breaks for fall, you instantly will think of Paris in fall or Munich in Oktoberfest. These are good options, believe me! But there is an infinity of great and different and even better options for weekend breaks. That’s why I want to share with you 4 cities that I find perfect for visiting in fall weekend breaks and what to do in them!

My Trunk of Travel Memories: Where have I traveled?

It’s been more than eight years since I traveled outside of my country for the first time. It was around the end of the year 2010. I was 15 when, with lots of doubts, I jumped on an airplane to visit my best friend in England.

Since then travelling as brought me to exciting and surrealist adventures. It has taken me to breathtaking sunsets and captivating landscapes, introduced me to the kindest and more interesting human beings, to their stories… With no doubt I can say that the best adventures in my life have taken place while traveling.

Travel Guide – Myanmar: Where To Stay In Mandalay?

Mandalay was the first stop in my Burmese adventure. It became one of my favorite places in the whole country. It stole my heart as soon as I step out on its dusty streets.

Yes, Mandalay might not be the most beautiful city in the world but the atmosphere and its citizens make it absolutely special. Everywhere you look, there is someone smiling at you. You can feel how they truly greet and welcome you from the heart… Their looks and smiles definitely made me feel one of the happiest and luckiest human beings on Earth!
